Spreading love and light in Hong Kong

“Sweets become sweeter when you share them, Festivals becomes merrier when you celebrate them.”

A great festive celebration was seen at the yearly fest, “Diwali Extravaganza”, organised by ‘Sherry Designs Concepts’ in the heart of Hong Kong, at Golden Mile, last October.

Diwali, fun, celebration, and gifts go hand-in-hand. This was proved true by the Sherry concepts team when they held their 5th Diwali Bazaar. The event turned out to be a huge success with the love and support of all the shoppers and the vendors who went home happy.

Around 15 vendors namely, Pooja Jeandani – specialising in imitated jewellery, Party Sharty – ladies casual and party wear, Infinity Wines – wine vendor, Maa Amrit Leela – tarot reading, palm reading, reiki healer, and Vinayak – home décor, among others, showcased their products to the guests.

People experienced the bliss of shopping some unique items ranging from design-er Indian attires to handcrafted gifts, household décor to beauty products, wine bottles to phulkari dupatta, Diwali sweets to home-made cakes, festive decorations to antique jewellery to electronics, and more under a single roof.



The crowd was energetic, the atmosphere was lively, and the hosts were supportive. The good happy vibes and rich Indian culture could be seen all around the bazaar. The traditional Bhangra by Funjabi Group, added to the flavour of the event, hourly lucky draws kept the excitement at its peak and the Mehandi art stall was the busiest. Happiness and joy were in the air throughout the event.

If you missed the fun, then don’t worry! This successful shopping fiesta of the year will be organized again in coming 12th October, 2019. The motive of the event is to promote the festive vibe amongst the Indians living in Hong Kong and other people who wish to know more about our Indian culture. Small and home business-es get a chance to showcase their work and make a great fan base and then convert them into long term clients with the help of such events.
